Here I just share what I know re: house music, since these days lot kinds of this music was known as electro dance music (edm) or funkot some say :) Those music in a fact started from the root of house music which on 1995-2000s some of familiar with, but cmiiw. We could find out by the music tempo from the bpm (beat per minute), this was common to whom started it out learnt as a DJ (disc jockey), if you had a fine DJ gear from the updated brand or any free DJ software, you will know the bpm of every song you gonna play :) So here are some of the tempo from house music genres;
110 - 118 : Disco/Soul/Funk House
120 - 125 : Deep House
125 - 132 : Electro/Progressive House
125 - 140 : Techno
128 - 140 : Trance
145 - 150 : Hardstyle
